The project aimed to ensure the necessary flow of scientific and technological information to the scientific, research, educational and business communities of the country. To this end, EKT developed the necessary infrastructure (information systems, networking, applications supporting the digital library), as well as the systems, procedures and know-how to collect, manage and provide the information. It had a crucial role in the creation of a critical mass of producers/users of information, through the development of the Digital Library for Science and Technology (digitization of material, development of national databases, installation of international databases) and the services for the online access and provision of full texts.
