The National Documentation Centre, operating as the Greek National Contact
Point for the Information Society Technologies (IST) programme, is
organizing, in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research and
Technology, a series of information events to introduce the 4th call for
proposals.
The first event will take place on 13 December 2004, in Athens. The second
event, which is co-organised by the Research Committee of the Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki, will take place on 14 December 2004, in
Thessaloniki.
Sessions will address the revised workprogramme (2004-2006) for IST and the
current 4th call for proposals (Closing Date: 22 March 2005). The events
will also include a brief presentation of the 5th call for proposals
(expected publication date: May 2005) as well as a presentation of the
Action Plan for the instruments of the Framework Programme, as proposed by
the European Commission in response to the conclusions of the “Marimon” report
(a report evaluating the new instruments of FP6).
During the information days, there will be detailed presentations on all
strategic objectives/areas of the 4th call for proposals, along with the
guidelines for the EC initiative for a “technological platform” on
nanoelectronics, in view of the forthcoming FP7.
