The National Documentation Centre has the pleasure of inviting you to
the National Information Day on the 4th Call for Proposals under the eContent
Programme. The event will take place on Tuesday
23 March 2004, in
Athens (National Hellenic Research Foundation, 48, Vas. Constantinou Avenue).
The Information Day will focus on:
- The 4th Call for Proposals (deadline for receipt of proposals:
14/05/2004, indicative budget: 26,5 million euro)
- The Call for Proposals under the continuous submission scheme (deadline
for receipt of proposals: 14/05/2004).
The eContent Programme is part of the eEurope Action Plan that aims at
supporting the production, dissemination and use of European digital content
among the global networks, as well as at promoting linguistic
diversification in the Information Society.
The eContent initiative is very important, given that investment in
digital content is the key to achieving the Lisbon goal, namely for the
European economy to become the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based
economy in the world.
The 4th Call for Proposals is based on the following action lines of the
eContent Programme:
- improvement of the access to and use of public sector information
- increase in the production of multilingual and multicultural digital content.
