Mission & Objectives
The aim of the National Documentation Centre, as NCP, is to increase the
overall Greek participation in FP6 as well as to support potential proposers
to submit concrete proposals.
The strategy of EKT may be summarised as follows:
- Assist Greek bodies to participate in the competitive programmes of the
European Union
- Support Greek bodies to establish research and business partnerships
- Promote the concept of entrepreneurship among the research and academic community
- Increase the participation of the private sector in research programmes
and hence in research funding.
As NCP, EKT provides information and consulting services to bodies
interested in participating in the Programme (universities, research
institutes, enterprises, public and private bodies) regarding the submission
of proposals and particularly, on topics related to:
- the conditions for participation
- the opportunities and the modalities for the submission of proposals
- the partner search activities and the development of consortia
- the instruments
- the administrative procedures
- contractual issues
- communication with the European Commission and other Community services
and networks.
In order to better support the Greek participation in the Programme, EKT
exploits the range of its information sources, the experience gained from
its participation in European networks and the cooperation with bodies
involved in the research-innovation-technology-market chain. At the same
time, EKT is developing a close collaboration with the General Secretariat
for Research and Technology, the European Commission and the National
contact Points in other European countries.Activities
