The objective was to integrate the systems established within the framework of the project “National Information System on Research and Technology”, by developing an interface that allows faster searching of the content of the virtual library. Among the goals were: improvement of the access to EKT’s digital content, the improvement of the HTML interface for quicker search, through complex questions for a more advanced search, and smooth transfer to the document ordering services, the homogenisation of databases and the development of applications allowing simultaneous searches of one or more databases via a common interface and terms, the development of a system to identify the profile of the users and update them automatically for news and links, the enrichment of digital content and the improvement of accessibility via integrated systems.
