The objective was to develop a Union Catalogue, available online, for the collections of the libraries of all 17 participating organizations (Institute of Greek and Roman Antiquity, Institute of Byzantine Research, Institute of Neohellenic Research, Gennadius Library and 13 libraries of foreign archeological schools and institutes established in Athens).  

The activities included the development of the online database for bibliographic data, in the form of a union catalogue of books and journals, which has been installed in EKT’s information system and is accessible through the Internet. The database is supported by the ABEKT software, which supports multiple character sets and a multiuser environment, and is suitable for the simultaneous management of the databases.
