The Industrial Property Organisation (ΟΒΙ) created the legal information database LEGIS in order to provide search and information services on industrial property issues. Through LEGIS, those interested have access to four types of legal document (legislation, case law, opinions and legal articles), and can choose between a document search based on pre-selected criteria and free search with keywords which make up the thesaurus of legal terms relating to industrial property (LEXICON).
The features of the LEGIS database also include the creation of a list of search results, the export and storage of selected documents on the user's local computer, further processing of the documents and a print-out option.
It should be noted that the LEGIS system is currently available in pilot form, but it is being continually supplemented, enriched and developed in order to fully utilize the extremely wide legal search capabilities it provides.
