The new online database of the European project ERA WESTBALKAN
(http://www.westbalkanresearch.net/), in which the National
documentation Centre is participating, offers the possibility to find
partners from countries of the Western Balkans in order to jointly
submit proposals in all the priority topics of the European Union's
Framework Programme for Research and the implementation of research
projects.
The project is co-funded by the 6th Framework Programme for Research of
the European Commission ("Specific International Scientific Cooperation
Activities (INCO)" programme) and concerns the creation of a network of
information centres/national contact points for countries of the Western
Balkans. Also participating, are organisations from six countries
(Austria, Greece, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic
of Macedonia, Serbia-Montenegro), with the Austrian FFG/BIT centre as
coordinator.
The online database includes information on universities, institutes and
enterprises that are active in the research and technology sector, in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,
Serbia-Montenegro.
The interested parties can search for partners based on the scientific
field of interest, the type of organisation, the country as well as
keywords. The search results include information about the profile of
the organisations, their fields of action and their previous experience
in European and international research programmes, as well as contact
details.
