Στην παρακάτω μελέτη, η οποία εκπονήθηκε από το ΕΚΤ σε συνεργασία με το Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, καταγράφονται μια σειρά από δείκτες Ε&Τ για την Ελλάδα, με βάση στοιχεία που προέρχονται από βάση δεδομένων του ΟΟΣΑ για την περίοδο 1981 - 2002, καθώς και στοιχεία από σχετικές μελέτες της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής και του ΟΟΣΑ. Στη μελέτη, παρουσιάζονται συγκεκριμένοι δείκτες, κάθε ένας από τους οποίους συνοδεύεται από γράφημα, στο οποίο παρουσιάζονται οι τιμές του δείκτη για Ελλάδα, Ιρλανδία, Πορτογαλία και Ισπανία, καθώς και ο μέσος όρος της ΕΕ.

Η μελέτη περιλαμβάνει τέσσερις θεματικές ενότητες:

• Theme I: Human resources in RTD, including attractiveness of science and technology professions

• Theme II: Public private investment in RTD

• Theme III: Scientific and technological productivity

• Theme IV: Impact of RTD on economic competitiveness and employment

NOTES

For each Theme I to IV there is a list of Indicators regarding Greece. We provide also a graph for a selection of Indicators. There is a direct graphic comparison of Greece with three countries, namely Ireland, Portugal and Spain, which are in a relatively similar position with Greece in the Science and Technology sector. Furthermore, in the same graph the EU-average (or EU-total) is used as a baseline reference. For further explanations regarding the indicators please refer to the standard OECD methodology for the collection of R&D statistics, i.e. the Frascati Manual [4]. All data are collected from the OECD database (years span from 1981 to 2002).
