A new publication on the Greek Regional Programmes of Innovative Actions
has been recently issued in the framework of the NetForce 2006 project
in cooperation with 13 Greek Regions. It is the 4th edition, entitled
"Showcasing Innovative Greece", which gathers analytical data and
information on the first two programmes regarding the country's Regional
innovation.
In particular, this issue contains information on European regional
policy and the European Regional Development Fund, national programmes
on Regional Innovation, networking actions such as the European
Innovation Relay Centres network and other E.U. initiatives on
innovation, such as Innovation 2010. Moreover, it contains data on
innovation in Greece per region and per industrial sector. Special
reference is made to clusters, as well as the horizontal issues that
affect the development of innovation, such as the legal framework, the
Regional human and social capital, etc.

The NetForce 2006 project is a continuation of the RIPE project, which
was materialised during 2002-2003, from which a strategic plan was
created for the development of innovation in the Peloponnesus Region.
The objective of NetForce 2006 is to reinforce regional innovation in
the Peloponnesus Region, by implementing a series of cross-sectoral
innovative actions. The programme is focused on the development
networking business / clusters for the promotion of new products and it
encourages the establishment of innovative enterprises with links to
educational institutions and research centres.
