ิhe brokerage forum, MariMatch 2014, was organised by Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas (EEN-Hellas), the biggest network in Greece for entrepreneurship and innovation, at the International Shipping Exhibition "Posidonia" on the 4th & 5th June 2014 in Athens.
The matchmaking event was initiated by the National Documentation Centre (EKT), EEN-Hellas coordinator, in order to enhance Greek businesses' and research institutions' participation in the event, for them to meet potential international business and research partners.
The event was carried out successfully, as the participation of Greek and foreign businesses was high. 145 enterprises (84 Greek, and 62 foreign enterprises from 14 countries) realised 350 bilateral meetings in order to make new mercantile, technological or research partnerships.
It is noteworthy that, although the event was realised for the first time, the number of participants, as well as the number of meetings that took place, overcame all expectations.
